Love From Our Directors

As the school year comes to an end, it is time for us to say goodbye to the State Dance Company and Panoramic Dance Project seniors. It has been a pleasure watching each of you flourish and not only succeed and grow in dance but in academics, as well. NC State Dance Program & State Dance Company Director Tara Mullins and Panoramic Dance Project Director Francine Ott have put together tributes to the graduating dancers. State Dance Company Seniors 2019

Annalise Boese – English literature major, French and Latin minors. Annalise began her dance training at the age of three and studied primarily ballet, tap, and jazz. In spring 2017, she took a dance composition class to further understand the choreographic and artistic process of modern dance. Gini Brown – Biochemistry and plant biology major. Gini began dancing at the age of three and is primarily trained in ballet, jazz, and tap. Gini is a 2016-17 Arts NC State Creative and Performing Artist Award recipient. Isa Cortes – Psychology major, biology minor. Isa’s background experience includes being a competitive dancer at Lake Norman Dance Gallery for 15 years and performing at numerous places including Madison Square Garden for America’s Got Talent and several dance competitions around the nation. Danielle Deibert – Mathematics major, Spanish minor. In Danielle’s hometown in New Jersey, she began dancing at the age of four, primarily training in contemporary, ballet, and jazz. Coming from a competitive dance background, she has enjoyed exploring new movement through modern dance. MaryJo McCoy – Business administration major, marketing concentration. MaryJo has been dancing her whole life and is primarily trained in modern, ballet and jazz. She began her dance training in Silver Spring, Maryland and has spent her more recent years in Chapel Hill, NC. Dedreanna Scott – Human biology major, animal science minor. Dedreeanna started dancing at a young age in her hometown Fayetteville, NC. She has been trained in many styles but enjoys hip-hop and Modern most. Congratulations to our six seniors. We love you and are so proud of you! 

Panoramic Dance Company Senior 2019

In the video, Francine Ott says, “There are many things that I ask of my students, things that push them beyond their comfort zone, but it is because I see the beauty in them, I see beyond the limitations, I see their future. I have the privilege of training beautiful leaders, that is what the Panoramic Dance Project is all about.” Hannah Monroe – Biological engineering major, biomanufacturing minor. Hannah started dancing at the age of three at City Ballet Raleigh where she took ballet, pointe, jazz and modern. Congratulations to Hannah. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
