Jason Fogelsonger is a Junior majoring in Biological and Agricultural Engineering (bioprocessing) and is pursuing a minor in music performance (percussion). He started taking lessons in first grade, and has continued his studies continuously since then. He has enjoyed participating in a wide variety of ensembles over the years, consisting of wind, jazz, orchestra, marching, and percussion ensembles. His most noteworthy accomplishment has been his performances with the world class WGI percussion indoor drumline at George Mason University. He was also selected as this year’s recipient of the Toni Christine Masini Memorial Marching Band scholarship, showing his broad commitment to music performance.

Yunjin Lee earned her doctoral degree at The University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Gregory Allen. Her doctoral research focused on Polystylism in Lera Auerbach’s 24 Preludes, Op. 41. Prior to that, she received a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music under the guidance of Dr. Enrico Elisi. During her time at Eastman, she was the recipient of a Graduate Award Assistantship in Accompanying. Dr. Lee also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Yonsei University, where she received a scholarship for academic excellence. During her undergraduate studies, she studied under the tutelage of Bong-Ae Shin.

Payton Wurst is a Senior majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in music performance for tuba. He first started playing tuba in 6th grade and has participated in various ensembles throughout his career. At NC State, he has performed in the Wind Ensemble, Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, Marching Band, and Pep Band.

Ben Sheldon has been playing trombone in jazz and classical settings since the sixth grade, and has enjoyed numerous outstanding opportunities in his time as an instrumentalist including performing at Carnegie Hall with his high school band. He holds a deep love for music and is always looking for his next new musical obsession. In his free time, he is also pursuing a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and works in R&D for microelectronics manufacturing at Qorvo Inc.
