FAQs
Do I need to register?
Space is limited, and preregistration is required. You can sign up for individual classes or the entire series by completing our registration form.
Who can attend?
Master classes are open to all NC State students, faculty and staff.
- If you are a faculty or staff member and do not have a Wellness and Recreation membership, please register no later than 24 hours before your class.
- On the day of your class, enter through the North Wellness and Recreation Center entrance. Let them know you are there for a master class and that your name is on a roster.
How much do classes cost?
All classes are free!
Do I need to have dance experience?
Not necessarily. Classes listed as “intermediate” are designed for those with at least two years of previous dance experience. All other classes are open to all experience levels.
Please read the class descriptions or email us at performingartstech@ncsu.edu if you have any questions.
How do I get to the dance studio?
There are two ways to get to the dance studio:
- Through the North Entrance (the more common route)
- Through the West Entrance (the shorter route)
From the North Entrance
Enter through the North Entrance across from Talley Student Union. You will be entering on the second floor of the facility. However, the second floor of the Wellness and Recreation Center does not connect to the second floor of Carmichael Gym West. You will need to take the stairs or elevator to the first floor and walk west past the locker rooms to Carmichael Gym West. Then, take those stairs or elevator up to the second level.
From the West Entrance
Enter through the Carmichael Gym West entrance, located off of Cates Avenue across from Alexander Residence Hall. You will be on the third floor of the building and will need to take the stairs or elevator down to the second level.
