Summer Camp FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the total cost? What does it include?
All camps are day camps, and the cost is $450. This includes lunch, an official t-shirt, and all instruction and social events within the camp.
How do I register for camp?
All registration is done online through our Reporter system. There are registration links on each individual camp’s page. You will need to create an account in Reporter in order to complete your registration. See the Reporter parent account guide for detailed guidance on using the system. If you need assistance in registering, please call or email Chris Branam at 919.513.0888 or csbranam@ncsu.edu.
What is the dress code?
Students will be participating in a prestigious program, and appropriate and respectful clothing is required. No bathing suits, tube tops, short shorts, cropped or open arm-hole shirts—full t-shirt is required. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety.
Are there accommodations for food allergies or restrictions?
Yes. The dining hall will have options for those with food allergies and restrictions. Please be sure to include dietary restrictions and allergies on your registration form so our counselors will be aware of them. More information about campus nutrition options and resources for students with dietary restrictions is available from NC State Dining.
I am a band director. How can I get the word out to my students about your camps?
Thanks for your help spreading the word! There is a PDF flyer on the main camp page which you can print and hang in your classroom or distribute to your students. We would love to have them at our camps!
Do you offer any financial aid or scholarships?
Yes. We will award up to one scholarship per camp, based on financial need. Please complete the summer camp scholarship application by May 1. Contact Chris Branam at csbranam@ncsu.edu with any questions.
