Practice Rooms
The Department of Performing Arts and Technology oversees more than a dozen reservable practice rooms, each equipped with an upright or digital piano and a music stand. Any student at NC State can reserve a standard practice room on our booking system after approval from the department.
Practice Room Availability
Practice rooms in Price Music Center are available by reservation to NC State students between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. Reservation blocks can be up to one hour at a time.
Weekend access is available by special request only.
How to Reserve a Practice Room
Individual Use
To obtain access to any practice rooms within the Department of Performing Arts and Technology, students must complete the Practice Room Usage Request and Agreement form every semester. Upon submission, please allow approximately two business days for processing. Once your request has been approved, you will receive an email confirming your card access, as well as an invitation to the department’s online room reservation system, SKEDDA.
Please review the Practice Room Usage Agreement and all applicable policies before using the practice rooms.
To maintain institutional security standards, practice room access is revoked at the conclusion of each academic semester (Fall, Spring, Summer). Access expires on the last day of classes for the applicable semester, as established by the official academic calendar.
Students who require continued access must submit a new Practice Room Request and Agreement form each academic semester.

Practice Room Options
NC State Students may reserve a standard practice room through the online booking system, SKEDDA. Once your agreement form has been received and approved by the Department, you can reserve your room. To reserve, go to SKEDDA, click on an available practice room time in either “Map” or “Day” view and follow the onscreen instructions. You will receive a confirmation email with the date, time, and location of your booking.

Student Organizations
To obtain access to any practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, studios, or classrooms within the Department of Performing Arts and Technology, students must complete the Student Organization Practice Room Usage Request and Agreement form every semester. Upon submission, please allow approximately two business days for processing. Once your request has been approved, you will receive an email confirming your card access, as well as an invitation to the department’s online room reservation system, SKEDDA.
Reservation requests for dance studios will open August 31. Reservations for Rehearsal Spaces will open September 8.

- You must request your room reservation at least one week in advance.
- Only enter your reserved room at the exact time you have reserved and exit at the end of your reservation.
- Promptly report any issues with the room to the Department of Performing Arts and Technology office here.
- No food or drink is allowed in the rooms.
- When you leave, please ensure that the room is as it was when you arrived and the door to the room is securely shut when you exit.
Dance Studios

Failure to abide by these rules will result in the loss of practice room privileges.
