Music Scholarships
Apply for Scholarships
Musicianship-based scholarships are available to support student-musicians who enroll in performing ensembles or pursue a minor in music at NC State.
Types of Scholarships
We offer one-year scholarships and four-year renewable scholarships for new and continuing students enrolled in ensembles, participating in music organizations or pursuing a music minor.
There are several dedicated marching band scholarships for both new and continuing students. We also have several scholarships in the form of leadership awards for student leaders of our ensembles.
How to Apply
The Pack ASSIST scholarship portal allows you to submit one application in order to be considered for all scholarships at NC State for which you are eligible, including music scholarships.
Newly admitted students
Newly admitted students should apply for scholarships as soon as you are accepted to NC State.
Applications received by February 15 are given priority consideration. New students admitted after February 15 are still encouraged to apply to be considered for any second-round scholarship offers.
Continuing students
Continuing students should apply for scholarships through Pack ASSIST starting on December 1 of each year. You need to reapply every year unless you are specifically told otherwise via a scholarship offer letter.
