We are thrilled to have a challenge gift for the Department of Performing Arts and Technology! An anonymous donor will give $50,000 to the Marching Band Fund when the Department of Performing Arts and Technology reaches 300 cumulative gifts to the Dance Enhancement Fund and the Music Enhancement Fund.
TIP: The goal for this challenge is a gift amount rather than a dollar amount. In other words, every gift—no matter the size—will help us reach our goal!
How to Participate
Want to help us reach our goal of 300 gifts? No matter how you’re able to support the department, there are many ways you can participate in this challenge.

#GivingPack Hashtag Match Challenge

The Department of Performing Arts and Technology is undefeated in the #GivingPack Hashtag Match Challenge! Help us keep up our winning streak by participating this year on Day of Giving!
This is a great option for those who want to participate but aren’t necessarily able to get involved in #GivingPack!
How to Participate
Tell us something you love about NC State — why you chose it, a favorite memory, a shout-out to a friend or instructor, your favorite campus spot, etc. — and post it on either Instagram Stories or X using the hashtag #GivingPack. Mention the Department of Performing Arts and Technology (@ncstateartstech) in the post, and $10 will automatically be given to the department in your honor!
But wait — there’s more! When the #GivingPack Hashtag Match Challenge threshold is reached, the college, program or unit that is mentioned in the most eligible posts will win an additional $2,000.
RULES
To be eligible for the challenge, all posts MUST be made on Day of Giving (March 20), include the #GivingPack hashtag, tag @NCState, and mention the Department of Performing Arts and Technology.
As you create your posts, keep the following rules in mind:
- Your account must be public.
- Keep your entries positive.
- Limit five posts per account.
- Posts must come from personal X or Instagram accounts.

To get you into the holiday spirit this week, Wind Ensemble is bringing you our final concert of the fall semester ❄️🧣
We have the fun occurrence of having siblings in our department this year! Sisters Elaine and Allyson Wolochuck are involved in Jazz Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, and State Chorale and Ladies in Red, respectively. Coming from over seven hours away, the sisters have both grown up with a love for music that has only continued to flourish in their time here at NC State.
