Aaron Keane

Bio

Aaron Keane has been working in the audio industry for almost 20 years. His experience spans engineering album projects and TV commercials, to composing across all forms of media. As an engineer of album projects, he has worked with a diverse group of musical artists, from folk singer Shawn Colvin to hip hop artist Mos Def. As a composer, he has made music for several TV networks including HBO, NatGeo, PBS and TLC. Other composition credits include video games, independent films and commercials for brands like Polaris, CarQuest, Travelocity, CenturyLink, Georgia Pacific and WakeMed.

  • Composer/ Music producer for the PBS series Twice Born, 2015
  • Composer/ Music Producer for the PBS special The Day The 60s Died, 2015
  • Supervising Sound Editor on ‘Private Violence,’ a documentary (Official Selection at Sundance and Full Frame Documentary Film Festival)
  • Mixing for the BeatLab project http://www.beatmakinglab.com/

Keane has worked with Trailblazer Studios for nearly 12 years and currently works as Producer/ Composer/ Director of Music and Sound Operations. He is interested in developing projects including consulting, teaching, composing and audio engineering.

Keane holds a B.A. from Bard College (1991) and a M. Mus. from New York University (1995).
